Meet Our Staff

Staff MemberJanet Pacik

Janet is the practice manager of the Plastic Surgery Professional Association Skincare-MD. Janet is also the business manager of Skincare-MD.com which is our internet store for the advanced skin care program in our practice.

Janet brings to our team 30 years of experience in graphic design and business. Her expertise in these areas has helped bring our practice to new levels of functioning with extensive before and after photos both in our in-office albums and on our website, a sensitivity for continually improving and updating both our plastic surgery and skin care websites, and making posible the many scientific publications and lectures given at plastic surgery meetings.

Janet is also involved with patient and customer service and is very proactive in dealing with any problems or concerns that may arise.

Staff MemberGloria Smith

Gloria, our medical assistant, is very knowledgeable and assists patients with scheduling their consultation, providing accurate information regarding the many services we provide. Gloria’s major area of responsibility is to oversee the efficient and smooth operation of the office, a task she performs extremely well. Her friendly attitude and empathy are continuously noted by patients and staff alike.

Gloria’s many years of experience in customer service has been a great asset to our practice.

Staff MemberPamela Altner, CST

Pamela Altner, CST is a certified surgical technologist working in the operating room. She has an extensive background as a surgical technologist and has assisted in thousands of operations. Her advanced training is in the fields of sterility, instrumentation, implant devices, surgical procedures and setups. She helps run the surgicenter and is our key person for medical billing and coding. Her soothing personality is just one more plus.

Staff MemberBarbara Barry, RN

Barbara Barry, RN is our recovery room nurse and is Advanced Cardiac Life Support certified. She has a long history of helping patients and is a joy to work with. You will be greeted by her smiling face, both when you first get into one of our comfortable beds, and when you wake up from the anesthesia. A smile and a soft voice go a long way towards the comfort of our patients.

Staff MemberNancy Jackson, CRNA, ARNP

Nancy is one of our PACU (Recovery Room) nurses who is also a certified registered nurse anesthetist with advanced practice in Anesthesia. She has worked at the St. Mary Hospital, Lewiston, ME as staff nurse in the anesthesia department. Nancy is a graduate of the Rhode Island Hospital School of Nursing in Providence Rhode Island and the St. Mary School of Anesthesia for Nurse Anesthetists in Lewiston, Maine.

Staff MemberSarah Goodwin, MA

Sarah Goodwin, MA is our medical assistant who helps to take care of our patients. She received her Associate Degree Medical Assistant and graduated Cum Laude. Her pleasant demeanor helps create the relaxing and friendly atmosphere that all of us at the Plastic Surgery Professional Association try to promote. She cares about our patients and will help coordinate your care from the consultation to the surgery and your recovery.

Staff MemberDenise O'Rourke

Denise, our bookkeeper for the Plastic Surgery Professional Association, handles all financial aspects of our practice. Denise works very closely with patients assisting them with financing and payments. She is efficient, handles a large workload, and is always pleasant to work with.

Staff MemberCecile Juneau

Cecile, our part-time file clerk and medical assistant, joined our office after taking early retirement in the field of human resources. Cecile is very efficient, keeping all of our paperwork requirements in order, to ensure that patients receive accurate information. Cecile is very warm and pleasant and has excellent communication skills.

Staff MemberLois St. John, Aesthetician

Lois St. John is a 1997 graduate from Michael's School of Hair Design & Esthetics with diplomas in Advanced Esthetics, European Skin Care Specialist and Body Spa Treatments. Lois also received a Certificate of Training in Clinical Microdermabrasion in 2001; graduated in 2004 from the International Council of Education, E.T.S. Certification #0410181, as MediEsthetic Specialist; Obagi Certificate in Skin Health Restoration & Rejuvenation from Obagi Medical Products (authorized by Zein Obagi, MD) in 2001, repeated in 2003, 2006 and 2010. Lois also received a Certificate in Cosmetic Ingredients for Problem Skin at the Catherine Hinds Institute in 2002; Chemical Peel Training by the Physician's Choice of Arizona in 2003, 2005, 2008; Certification of Instruction and Therapeutic Application of Intense Pulsed Light IPL in 2005 and repeated in 2007 from DDD/Candela.

Lois comes to the Plastic Surgery Professional Association and to Skincare-MD with extensive training from Jane Iredale Cosmetics which includes a Certificate in Theory and Application for Enhancement and Camouflage in 2001 and 2008 and an Advanced Master Theory Class in 2004. Lois also received a Certificate in Education from Kriss Institute of Makeup Artistry in Advanced Makeup in 2001.

Lois is a member of the Society of Plastic Surgical Skin Care Specialist (SPSSCS) and received Certificates in Education & Training through this society from 2002 to 2006.

Lois helped in developing the curriculum for advanced aesthetics at the Laird Institute of Spa Therapy where she also taught for 4 years from 2006 to 2010.

"Skin care has always been my lifelong interest and passion, especially in the medical field where I have had the pleasure of working side by side with physicians helping patients look better, feel better and by having healthier, younger-looking skin. I welcome you to our practice and offer free skincare consultations to all new patients."

Staff MemberCarol Mandro

Carol helps to manage all aspects of Skincare-MD. She keeps a watchful eye on the fulfillment of orders, customer service, tracking customer orders, product stock, arranging in-house training for staff, reviewing potential new products, setting up and decorating our new facility, and many other functions to ensure that our advanced skincare program runs smoothly. You can read many articles about the skincare products we carry on-line in our resource library. Many are researched and written by Carol. She also trials as many products as possible and gives first-hand knowledge of her experience with the products. She also coordinates staff product trials and keeps involved in what their experience is with the products. She feels it is very important to have first- hand knowledge of products in order to recommend products. She loves and knows the Jane Iredale Mineral Makeup line so be sure to ask her what’s new and is very excited about our new Avene and Glytone lines.

Carol worked for many years at Baxter Healthcare, Auto Syringe Division as a communications manager and at Morgan Marketing as a Seminar Coordinator and Morgan Press in marketing and communications. She enjoys multi-tasking and is capable in many areas and eager to assist.

Carol lives in Bow and has two sons in college. She loves to garden in her free time.

Staff MemberKaren Caron

Karen, our bookkeeper for Skincare-MD, handles all financial aspects of Skincare-md.com. Karen also assists callers placing skincare orders. Despite the complexity of her work, Karen always maintains her sense of humor and is always willing to help out other members of the staff.

Staff MemberSamantha Diaz

Samantha is one of our skincare sales associates. She coordinates the fulfillment of orders for both our in-house patients and for our skincare store. Samantha is involved with every aspect of customer service and goes out of her way to ensure that our skincare customers receive individualized attention. She is very detail oriented and keeps order fulfillment running smoothly. Samantha also assists patients who need information about products providing answers or referring them to our in-house aesthetician if necessary. She is always learning about products through in house training sessions with product representatives and through her personal trial of products. She is very dedicated and a joy to work with.

Samantha keeps busy with her two boys who are involved in sports.

Staff MemberCynthia Wanamaker

Cynthia is one of our skincare sales associates. She works part time and assists in fulfilling orders, tracking shipments, receiving shipments, re-stocking product, assisting customers with questions about products and other customer service related requests. Cynthia keeps current with products by attending training sessions in the office and product seminars outside the office. She is very knowledgeable and very capable of providing information about products or referring customers who need to speak to our in- house aesthetician. Cynthia also answers calls until 7:30 p.m. from our customers who call after office hours.

Cynthia is on the run chasing after her busy 1 year old daughter.

Lisa Foley

Lisa is one of our newest skincare sales associates. She assists in processing and fulfilling orders, stocking incoming product, handling many of the internal functions at Skincare-MD and also assists our aesthetician with tasks related to our in-house aesthetician services. She is attending product training sessions and seminars both in and out of the office. She is very eager to learn and loves skincare. She has just started the Obagi Nu-Derm Skincare regimen herself.

Lisa lives in Hollis and likes to spend time at the lake on the weekends.

Staff MemberBoard Certified Anesthesiologists

American Board Certified Anesthesiologists are responsible for the anesthesia given in our surgicenter. They are highly trained MD’s who have advanced training in anesthesia and pain control, and who routinely care for complex cases done at the hospital. Together they have considerable knowledge which helps us maintain the highest standards of care in our surgicenter. They all enjoy coming down to our outpatient surgicenter where our relaxed atmosphere is a departure from the sometimes frenetic pace of the hospital. We too, feel very comfortable having this elite group of doctors manage an important part of our patient’s care.
