Fees

Home : Fees

We have a long history of maintaining competitive fees. Each and every patient wants to receive value for what they pay, and we all love the occasional discount, or finding a coupon that will give us a lower price.

I advise my patients to be careful of trying to find the "cheapest” surgeon. In life, we get what we pay for and I would guess that most people have been disappointed somewhere, sometime.

Trust is probably the most important ingredient in a patient-physician relationship. A patient has to have the feeling that their doctor will provide them with high quality care, a safe journey through the surgery, and hopefully an uncomplicated recovery. Most patients now have the capability of doing extensive research to find a doctor that they feel comfortable with.

I have personally taken care of patients who have had a disastrous outcome because they didn't do the proper research or because they looked for the cheapest doctor. Most doctor"s are very capable, and in my many years in practice, I can honestly say that most doctors are very concerned about the welfare of their patients. To save a few hundred dollars, and compromise the final result is a pity indeed. I see this in patients who have their surgery in foreign countries. They are often at great risk, and the complications I have taken care of would speak many pages of a book about problems after surgery. “Save a penny, lose a dollar” couldn’t be more true in these situations.

In an effort to fully support our patients, Dr. Sterling and I take 24-hour call, 7 days a week for our own patients. If one of us can’t be reached, the other automatically takes the call. This is the type of care that goes far beyond finances.

As part of our commitment to taking care of our patients, we do not charge for post-op visits. We encourage our patients to return for their post-op and follow-up visits, and we do not want finances to get in the way of this important ongoing care.

As mentioned, we make every effort to have fair, competitive fees. We, therefore, do not discount our surgical fees. What we do for one patient, is only fair if we do it for all our patients. We have found that this philosophy works best for most of our patients.

We understand that sometimes patients need to borrow money, and we, therefore, make available a variety of financing plans that help our patients. We research these plans carefully to make sure they deliver what they say they will.  For more information on financing, please refer to our section on Financing.

Whenever possible, we will help patients with their insurance plans if they have “out of network” coverage. Most of the surgery we do is not covered by insurance plans, and we are not affiliated with any specific plans for this reason.

The following fee schedule should be of help to you in deciding if you can afford the surgery. It is always best to speak to our staff regarding your desires. We customize our surgical procedures to be in harmony both with the patient’s desires and also with what can be accomplished, given your anatomical circumstances. Without seeing you in person for a consultation and examination, these fees can only be estimates. The estimates below are "global fees" which include the surgical fees, facility fees (surgi-center), as well as the anesthesia, drains, binders, pain pumps, recovery room, post-op care and follow-up care.

Cosmetic Plastic Surgery Procedures

Abdominoplasty:

Approximately $7,500. This includes a muscle repair (diastasis rectus) as needed.

Arm Reduction:
Approximately $5,400 for a limited incision brachioplasty and approximately $6,780 for a full incision brachioplasty.

Breast Enlargement (augmentation mammaplasty):

A global fee of $5,450 includes the saline inflatable implants. If the more expensive silicone gel implants are used, the global fee is $6,700. A breast lift in combination with a breast enlargement is an added expense. Since there are many types of breast lifts (mastopexy), these added fees need to be determined at the time of consultation.

Breast Lift (mastopexy):

There are many anatomical variations that require individual customized treatment. Please call us and we will try to help you.

Breast Reduction:

Most insurance companies do not cover breast reduction surgery. For non-insurance patients, our surgeon's fee is $4,000 and the global fee including the surgeon's fee, surgi-center, anesthesia, drains, binders, and recovery room is $6,900. When liposuction is done for breast reduction, the surgeon's fee is $2,900 and the global fee including everything is $5,800. If only one breast needs to be reduced, the discounted global fee is $5,950 and if done by liposuction only, the discounted global fee is $3,940. For insurance cases (usually much larger breasts), surgery is done in the hospital and the fees are higher.

Eyelids:

Upper Eyelid Surgery:  $3,350.
Lower Eyelid Surgery: $4,300 and up depending on the need for lid tightening and also fat transfers to depressions near the side of the nose.
Upper and Lower Eyelid Surgery:  $5,250 without additional procedures as above.

Facial Cosmetic Surgery:

Cannot be quoted because of the many options available. If you know what you would like to accomplish, please call us and we may be able to give you general guidelines over the telephone.

Labia Reduction:

$3,350.

Liposuction:

The area(s) involved, extent of fat, and patient desires, make this an area that is difficult to quote without a proper examination. It is best to call, and we will try to help you.

Rhinoplasty:

Difficult to quote fees because of the many variations possible as well as airway problems. $6,950 and up but best to call.
